March 16, 2020 – COVID-19 Updates – Cancellation of Meetings

Dear Valued Clients,

The coronavirus (COVID-19) is a global issue impacting individuals and businesses around the world.

Please also note that all Quay Pacific offices are closed to the public until further notice. We are still working diligently behind the scenes but want to limit social interaction as has been recommended by the Provincial Health Minister. We kindly request that all communication and as much business matter as possible be completed electronically.

As a precautionary measure, for the health and safety of both our clients and employees, we are restricting personal contact. Effective immediately, strata managers may not attend any in-person meeting, including council meetings, general meetings and site visits.  All General Meetings with an expected attendance of over 50 people will also be cancelled as per the announcement today by the Health Minister.

Council may choose to reschedule their meetings to a later date or conduct the meeting electronically by a method of their choice, such as Skype, telephone conference, Zoom, WhatsApp, FaceTime.  Please work with your Strata Manager should you want an electronic meeting.

Rental managers are also refraining from attending rental inspections and showings at this time.

We will continue to monitor the COVID-19 situation closely and make any necessary adjustments to our operations in order to protect the health and safety of our community.

 

Precautionary Measures:

In accordance with Health Canada guidelines, it is critical that we all continue to practice general viral infection prevention measures including:

- Practice social distancing as much as possible to minimize contact with others at this time.

- Cover your cough or sneeze with your sleeve or a tissue, then throw the tissue in the trash.

- Avoid touching your face.

- Stay home if you are ill or showing symptoms.

- Avoid close contact with people who are sick.

- Clean and disinfect frequently touched objects and surfaces using a regular household cleaning spray or wipe.

- Wash your hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds, especially after going to the bathroom, before eating, and after blowing your nose, coughing or sneezing. If soap and water are not readily available, use an alcohol-based hand sanitizer with at least 60% alcohol. Always wash hands with soap and water if hands are visibly dirty.

The above are some precautionary measures and steps we can all take to ensure the health and safety of our community. We very much appreciate your efforts and understanding at this time.
